How to connect Cohere

  1. Go to dashboard.cohere.com and sign in.

  2. No account? Choose "Sign up" -- you can use a Google account.

  3. Choose "API keys" in the left-hand menu.

  4. Cohere gives you a free trial key straight away. For real use press "New Production Key" and name it "Julia".

  5. Copy the key.
    about 15 seconds
  6. Paste it into the box below and press "Test connection".

If something goes wrong

If it says the key is wrong: copy it again and check there is no space at the start or end. A key pasted from an email often picks one up.

A trial key works for testing but is rate limited. If Julia gets slow or says "too many requests", make a production key on the same page.

If it says billing or quota: add a payment method on the provider's own site. Julia cannot add credit on your behalf.
